Blog - New Glasses, and My Writing

Hey there! Well, I just thought that I should share with you that my new frames for my glasses are going to be in today, and the glasses themselves will be done a little later in the afternoon...Kind of excited about that. Is that normal??

I also wanted to share with you a few of my favorite things, hobbies, and passions. First things first, I absolutely love to read, it gives me time to think about things. I would be lost without books and a pencil and paper...And my laptop. Writing is my passion, and inspiration hits me at the most convenient of times, the most inconvenient, and the most random of times. I try my best to get all m;y thoughts and ideas about writing on paper or my laptop, And yeah...That's pretty much all I wanted to share for today...

Blog - Crime Rate and Video Games

Dear Blog,

If you're reading this, than you obviously wanna here what I have to say about things and I thank you for that.

Anyways, I'm currently stuck in town at Chase Bank, where I am taking advantage of some free Wi-Fi from a little restaurant called Bay-Burger. It surprises me how many people are here right now because it's usually pretty quiet around here. But in other places near me there's some pretty big stuff going on. There was an arson/suspected murder not very far from me, and the crime rate in general is going up it seems. Seriously, what is this world coming to? (Feel free to comment about recent crimes in your town/around your town. I actually care to know this kind of stuff.)

Now on to one of the biggest things of a teenage boys life: video games!

I myself aren't really a video game kind of guy, but I do play some of them (I recently got into Minecraft). Now before you jump to any conclusions, I don't play Black-Ops or war games. They just don't interest me. But there are a lot of guys around my school that are completely obsessed with it and play it 24/7. I just don't get how you can play a video game all the time. I understand that you like the game, but that doesn't mean that you can't take a break from it and go outside, read a book, or maybe even get a job. And if you do decide to get a job you can start saving money for college, and if you must, take a little bit of your pay and put it into a gaming fund. I will admit that I've stayed up pretty late playing video games, but I don't do it ALLLLL the time!

I just realize that that entire paragraph is a rant...

I hope I didn't offend anybody...

How about a joke to cheer the people that I did offend up?

My parents and I recently took a trip down state to see my grandparents. My mom almost always goes a little fast to get there in a shorter time. Usually somewhere between 80-89 mph. And for some reason there were a lot of police out. So every time my mom would see one she'd attempt to slow down, in vain of course, and apparently they weren't paying any attention because none of them noticed how fast she was going. So my mom kept chugging along at her usual speed, and then finally one saw how fast she was going and flipped on his siren. My mom pulled over and the policeman walked up to her window and said. "Ma'm, do you know how fast you were going?" And my mother replied, "Yes. I suppose you're going to give a ticket to one of your Policeman Balls?" And the officer said, "Ma'm, we policemen don't have balls." So my mother said, "Oh. Really now?" That's when the policeman said, "Slow down, have a nice day.", and walked away.

What'd ya think of today's blog? How about they lengthy joke? Comment below and check my blog daily for more jokes and thoughts. Also tell me about some crimes in your town or maybe a celebrity scandal or maybe even a local scandal in your town.

First Post

Dear Blog,

Let me start off by telling you that this isn't my only blog...My other one is located at http://www.eyesofthepanther.blogspot.com and is more of a gossip/readers request thing. But that didn't completely satisfy my blogging needs. I needed a blog that's only purpose was to get down my feelings and opinions on various things happening in the world and in my own home/town. I realize that the thoughts/feelings of a teenage boy probably don't matter to a lot of you, but I'm not doing this for anybody but myself, I'm just making it public so others can see my thoughts and opinions and give me feedback and their opinions. Anyway, enough of the reasons and stuff like that, and get on to the blog. :)

Today was pretty good for the most part. I couldn't talk most of the day because of my throat, on the up side, I got away with not answering any questions verbally in front of the class, on the down side, I couldn't talk to my friends until 5th hour. Then after 6th hour it's on home...Most of the time.

After school I had at 4:30 I had an eye appointment. I already knew that I needed glasses or contacts, I was hoping that the contacts would be affordable after the insurance and discount, but, I was stuck with glasses. Glasses don't bother me, but I was hoping to change it up a little ya know? So while I was picking my frames I decided that I wanted to go with a thick framed look, so I picked a pair of thicker framed glasses that matched my hair, and surprisingly I looked pretty hot. :) Needless to say I picked those, we ordered them. blah blah blah, yadda yadda yadda. I'll be getting my new glasses next Tuesday. Now this is where the fun starts.

So my mother has a nice red Ford convertible Mustang that I hope to own someday and we were driving along through town heading home, and we see my dad's truck stopped at a bread store. We turn around in a parking lot and go back to the bread store and I walk in and tell him what I picked out at the eye appointment and that turns into a normal conversation lasting for the few minutes that we're in the store until we're out in the  very small parking lot where my mother is waiting. Turns out we needed a few things for Thanksgiving dinner and my dad was the one that had the money in his truck. And seeing that we often send my dad to the supermarket to get a few things like milk, bread, and cheese, and he'll come back with laundry detergent, bleach, and bar soap, I have to go with him to get the stuff we needed. Something you'll need to know before I go on are that my dad works at a hospital and often gets called in. Sure enough, I get in the truck, my mom leaves, and as we're pulling into the supermarket parking lot, my dad's beeper goes off. We hurry to the hospital and I call my mom so she can come and get me and we end up in the supermarket parking lot at 9:00 pm with Wendy's food, eating. We finish as fast as possible, run into the supermarket, and run out. We come home and this is the moment in a book where they start to story over again in the end if they go any further...So I guess this is goodbye for now? Not a very entertaining day today.

Thanks for taking the time to read my blog... :)
